Program Title

  • Navigating End-of-Life Needs for a Person with Differing Intellectual Abilities: 

    People with intellectual disabilities (IDS) are living longer, with many experiencing significant barriers to accessing palliative care and hospice services.

 Program Outcome

  1. After attending this presentation, 75% or more participants will self-report:
      1. an increased awareness of the complexity of shared decision making in the context of intellectual disability (ID), and
      2. an intention to implement at least one strategy to enhance care coordination and collaboration to support end-of-life care for a person with differing intellectual ability.
