Program Title
- Navigating End-of-Life Needs for a Person with Differing Intellectual Abilities:
People with intellectual disabilities (IDS) are living longer, with many experiencing significant barriers to accessing palliative care and hospice services.
Program Outcome
- After attending this presentation, 75% or more participants will self-report:
- an increased awareness of the complexity of shared decision making in the context of intellectual disability (ID), and
- an intention to implement at least one strategy to enhance care coordination and collaboration to support end-of-life care for a person with differing intellectual ability.
